1% of every purchase at chocri goes directly to DIV Kinder, a charity organization that helps out children on the Ivory Coast.
We never sat down and said “Let’s tie a great cause to our product” or “Let’s support a charity that will help us spread the word.” As a matter of fact, I don’t believe a lot of people buy from us because we donate, and the charity we donate to is small and is not going to bring a lot of traffic.
We do this because we believe in it. We think it’s unfair that kids have to work on a cocoa farm instead of going to school. We believe in helping the future leaders of a village/ region/ country/ our planet to be what they can be. When the two chocri founders started the business, this was something they wanted to do and that chocri enabled them to do.
